Elongated white Wedgwood vase
Elegant Wedgwood moonstone white vases/planters dating from circa 1942-62 and designed by Norman Wilson. Bearing the mark Wedgwood of Etruria hallmark they are made of lead glazed earthenware Moonstone glaze.
There are two types available-
a curved twin handle ribbed vase- 38 x 14 cm , depth 12.5
an angled twin handle semi ribbed vase -30 x 11, depth 11
Designed by Norman Wilson (1902-85) who was a master potter for Wedgwood. He was also works manager and experimented and produced a wide range of ornamental items. He was a real inventor and created vases and bowls in a range of ceramic bodies and with a range of different glazes.
