ONE OF A KIND

These exquisite bowls are a testament to the timeless elegance of mid-century design, specifically from around the 1950s. They are crafted from demi-porcelain, a material known for its durability and fine quality, embodying the craftsmanship of the Luneville tradition in France.

The bowls are adorned with a charming motif of hand-painted roses, executed in the Art Deco style. This artistic approach, popular in the early 20th century, emphasizes geometric forms and vibrant colors, adding a touch of sophistication and historical value to these pieces.

The Luneville pottery has a rich history dating back to 1730. However, a pivotal moment occurred in 1786 when Sebastian Keller acquired the then-bankrupt factory from Jaques Chambrette in Luneville. This marked the beginning of a new era for the factory. Around 1832, a significant transition took place when the ownership was passed to the son of Sebastian Keller and his son-in-law Guerin. This change in leadership brought about a new phase of innovation and quality in their porcelain creations. The hallmark of this period is the renowned "K&G" mark, symbolizing the collaboration between Keller and Guerin, which is a mark of authenticity and excellence for collectors and enthusiasts of fine porcelain.
