This past couple of weeks has been a wonderful reminder of the power of women supporting women. And it's been fabulous to be able to do it all in person at three different events. So yes I've entered the third month without social media and just meeting people in person has been amazing. I was fully immersed in all the experiences and talks because I knew I didn't need to take loads of photographs to share. I prefer to connect properly and know who to recommend when someone around me needs someone. So these two weeks I filled my heart with wonderful encounters and stories.
At Grantley Hall, My friend Suz Ferreira, a financial wellbeing coach brought together an inspiring group of women to support the incredible charity Smart Works through talks about "Women's wealth and wellbeing". It was a meaningful gathering filled with generosity and shared purpose....so many tips, takeaways and stories were shared by incredible women- including the keynote speaker Lyndsay Mitcheson talking about resilience.

The Grantley Hall room was filled by inspirational women who gather to listen to inspiring talks, have a great lunch. Natalia Willmott with Suz Ferreira.
In Leeds, Jodie Harris organised a brilliant Padel event at Slazenger Padel Club. It was such a joyful way to connect — combining sport and community, while bringing women together in a relaxed and energising setting.

And in Harrogate, the Yorkshire Voices event hosted by Yorkshire Ladies Links and organised by Melanie Malcom created space for conversation, ideas and encouragement. These kinds of gatherings remind us how powerful it is when women share their experiences and lift one another up.

Each event was different in its own way, but they all carried the same spirit — connection, support and the celebration of women.
International Women’s Day is a moment to celebrate progress, but also the everyday actions that strengthen and support women in our communities. Events like these remind us that when women come together — whether through charity, sport or conversation — they create opportunities, confidence and lasting connections.
Here’s to continuing to support, champion and celebrate one another.
Thank you to Suz, Jodie and Melanie for creating spaces where women can come together, encourage one another and build something meaningful.
