A few years ago I was fortunate to visit Linda Fenwick's beautiful garden retreat in her North Yorkshire home in Terrington thanks to my lovely friend Julia. From the extirior it just looks like a garden cottage but as soon as you walked in you saw that the entire space is covered in shells. This place has stayed in my memory- the intricacy of the work and the beauty of the space...the dreamiest of places. And lit at night in candlelight- even more divine.

Linda Fenwick is a shell artist and designer who creates exquisite and beautifully executed shell designs. She is influenced by Georgian and Classical designs but weaves her own contemporary twist into each piece.

She is the most fabulous shell artist and has travelled the world creating these amazing spaces for her private clients. She also created two little garden pavilions framing part of the garden at Newby Hall as below.
