Hand-thrown and shaped with care, the bowl originates from a region known for its rich ceramic artistry, Safi in south west Morocco. Along the inner rim, delicate carved leaf patterns create an organic, flowing border—each leaf carefully etched by hand with fine carving tools, lending a sense of movement and natural beauty. Nestled within the bowl’s basin, you will find hand-painted star motifs and free flowing arch style designs.
The outer rim offers a striking contrast, featuring a more structured geometric design composed of precise lines and rhythmic patterns, echoing classic Berber influences. These motifs are meticulously painted, then brought to life with a luminous glaze that enhances the vivid turquoise tones and accentuates the bowl’s tactile texture.

how do you know this item is special?
I have been working in the Art and Antiques field for more than 30 years. I have a BA/Masters degree in Art History from the Ecole du Louvre in Paris and Oxford University and worked with a high end dealer in London for many years as well as a display of Art firm.
How quickly will my item arrive?
